Aceh War (1873-1904)
Aceh War ( 1873 - 1904) History of the war in Aceh is story about the great heroic war. Aceh is one of the area's early embraceof muslim in Indonesia. Islam came to Aceh around the 7th century AD. It makes Aceh cultural’s center of islam in the past. This also we see from the nickname of acehas the porch of Mecca, Mecca's Porch own Name taken from people who akah Hajj to the Holy Land of Mecca. The person will stay in aceh within a few months before leaving for Mecca to use naval ships in the past. So is the transit synagogue of Aceh Hajj from the Indo Archipelago. So the people called it the porch of Mecca. In aceh also stands a major Islamic kingdoms and one of Empire contained in aceh is the first Islamic Kingdom in Indonesia, namely the Sultanate of Perlak. Sultan Mahmud Shah II in substitute by his son Mahmud Daud Shah. because of his age still young then appointed incumbent i.e. tuanku Hashim Banta young as Trustees until the year 1884 m. spirit of resistance
